Special days
- The market is closed on Korean public holidays, Labor Day, and the year-end closing day (December 31). See the 2026 and 2027 holiday calendars.
- On special days such as the national college entrance exam (CSAT), the exchange can shift trading hours. Check the exchange's notice for that year.
- US daylight saving time changes the gap between Seoul and New York from 13 hours (summer) to 14 hours (winter).

The NYSE and Nasdaq regular session runs 9:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m. Eastern Time, which is 10:30 p.m.–5:00 a.m. KST in US summer and 11:30 p.m.–6:00 a.m. KST in winter. See the US market holidays.

- The regular session of the Korea Exchange runs from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Korea Standard Time (KST, UTC+9), Monday to Friday. Continuous trading ends at 3:20 p.m., followed by a closing call auction until 3:30 p.m.
- What time is the Korean market open in New York?
- Korea does not use daylight saving time. The 9:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m. KST session is 8:00 p.m.–2:30 a.m. Eastern Time the previous evening during US daylight saving time, and 7:00 p.m.–1:30 a.m. Eastern Time in winter.
